We used achieve tutoring to help our son with his 11+ prep. He is off to grammar this year and we can’t thank the input from Tutor Libby to help get him there! All lessons were very engaging, She built up a good rapport with him quickly and she was good at challenging him with well thought out lessons. Would recommend!

Achiever Tutoring supported my son through his 11+. While it was online, the tutor was engaging and my son always looked forward to it. The tutor was well prepared and prioritised where gaps in learning were. My son is now doing very well at a Grammar School. Thanks so much for supporting him. I would definitely use Achiever Tutoring again in the future.

Super happy we chose achiever tutoring, our 10 year old daughter Myla has come on leaps and bounds in such a short time, Jonny chose 2 amazing tutors to suit myla, Maths with Libby and English with Niamh.
Both subjects she was really struggling in, and now feeling more confident. Even her school are recognizing and celebrating her achievements.
Thank you all so much!

Thank you so much to Harmony and Jonny for supporting and guiding my son Rocco through the 11+, the sessions were engaging and well structured, I noticed a huge difference in his learning and confidence especially in Maths and verbal reasoning, both your teaching styles worked so well and you made learning enjoyable for him. We are delighted to share that he passed his Grammar test!

We’ve had such a positive experience with Jonny at Achiever Tutoring. Jonny is everything you could hope for in a tutor – caring, kind, considerate, knowledgeable, and always eager to help. He’s approachable and flexible, which makes it so easy for my son to feel comfortable and supported in his learning.
The business itself is very well run. Achiever Tutoring is affordable, flexible with scheduling, and provides plenty of useful information and resources to support students. It’s clear that Jonny has put a lot of thought and care into making the whole experience smooth and effective.
I’m so grateful for the difference Jonny and Achiever Tutoring have made in my son’s confidence and progress. Thank you for everything!

I cannot thank Achiever Tutoring enough for all their help this last year in helping our daughter Jess prepare for her Maths GCSE. Her tutor Aber was fantastic with her, patient with her all the way through their lessons. She went from hating Maths to loving Maths, and that was all down to him, so thank you Aber! Whatever the outcome come August your sessions with her have had a positive affect that I am sure will carry her forward for the rest of her life. Thank you everyone at Achiever Tutoring.

Where to start. Everyone at Acheiver Tutoring have gone above and beyond to support, teach, and engage with my daughter over the past two years. We asked Acheiver for help because our daughter was one of the year six children that missed out on so much because of Covid. There were obvious gaps in her learning and she was struggling. After speaking to Jonny he quickly went to work on finding the right Tutors to work with her. Both Ellie (Maths) and Joseph (English) have worked so hard with Ayla to build her confidence, plug the gaps and have helped her enormously to rebuild her self belief and knowledge. Their enthusiasm, professionalism and expertise have been unwavering. More recently my daughter worked with Django (Business Studies) she was struggling in the subject but after a few sessions with Django her confidence began to build and she walked out her exam feeling happy and pleased. On the night before a GCSE she had a major wobble. I messaged Jonny who called her directly (even though it was very late) Jonny spent time reassuring her, going over the plan for the exam and calming her nerves. In other words above and beyond! I can not recommend Acheiver Tutoring highly enough! Special thank you to Ellie for her gentle approach and encouragement and a huge thank you to Joseph for reminding Ayla that she is a wonderful creative writer. Thank you all so much.

We cannot thank Jonny and Libby enough for what they have done for our son. We have been able to watch him grow from someone who found learning difficult and was really struggling into a young man who has grown in his own abilities and confidence. When we sit and listen to him talking during both of their sessions he has amazed us with his explanations and the language he has used. Our son doesn’t let many people into his world and he has loved learning with them both and speaks highly of them.
Everything was personalised just for our son and his SEN needs which never phased Jonny and Libby.
We can’t thank you enough and have been recommending you to everyone who will listen.

Founder and Director, Consultant and Tutor of English, Business and Economics, Drama, KS2 Studies and Entrance Examinations
Since graduating with a first-class honours degree in English with Placement from the University of Liverpool, I have been focused on elevating and evolving Achiever Tutoring, whilst saying true to its strengths. This has involved appearing in series 19 of BBC’s ‘The Apprentice’, growing my incredible team, delivering talks across the country and, of course, refining my craft as a tutor with my students. In my free time, I love travelling, socialising and being on the beach with my dog Buster! My tutoring approach follows the basic principle: if a student enjoys learning, they will learn. I therefore aim for my sessions to ignite a passion for the subject before refining skills and pushing for success.
Hannah Palliser
Deputy Director, Bursar and Tutor of History, Politics, Religion and Philosophy and KS3 English
Since graduating with a 2:1 honours degree in History and Philosophy from University of Liverpool, I have progressed within Achiever to become its Deputy Director and Bursar. In my free time, I love to read, run, socialise, and travel, getting the most out of my schedule! When tutoring, I approach my sessions with passion for whichever topic I am tutoring. I enjoy hearing my students' perspectives and learning how they understand a certain topic, giving it a fresh new perspective. Building confidence within my students is the ultimate goal within my sessions, to have them academically flourishing by the end of the year.

Since graduating with a first class Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Kent, I have progressed within the company to become Achiever's Assistant Director and DSL. In my free time, I like to run, go to the gym and read, as well as everything that comes with owning a horse. As one of Achiever's longest serving tutors, I have always taken a relaxed and patient approach to learning which helps create a good healthy relationship between the student and the subject. As DSL, I take everyone's wellbeing and safety as the utmost priority and it is amazing to see everyone flourish under Achiever's tuition and guidance.
Harmony Dawson
Head of Arts and Humanities and Tutor of English, French, History, KS2 Studies and 11+
I have been with Achiever since the summer of 2023 and in that time I have seen the confidence of my tutees grow. I have loved being able to build connections with students and my fellow tutors and am excited that I am able to share my passion for English and History as the Arts and Humanities lead. I am currently completing a BA in English and History at Royal Holloway University. I love to explore new places and write about my adventures. My style of tutoring is focussed on questioning and exploration; I encourage my students to vocalise their ideas and processes to look deeper than surface level.
The tutors my daughter has have been fantastic in building confidence and expanding knowledge, the 1 to 1 sessions are a really good way for my daughter as she struggles talking in large groups. Thank you to all her excellent tutors for encouraging her progression.

Meet our Tutors
A fresh perspective is a game changer when it comes to your child’s learning.
What makes Achiever special is our team. All tutors are personally known and trusted by Jonny and the leadership team. Unlike larger agencies, our team genuinely cares about who they are working with. This leads to more accountability, more trust between tutors and ultimately - better sessions. The fact that all of our tutors are young means that they have been in the students' shoes not so long ago. Mark schemes are fresh in tutors' minds, they are up to date with the latest educational developments and it means a one-of-a-kind rapport is created. Young people teaching young people really works. Our results, reviews and testimonials prove it.
We reach out to tutors we want on board and trust our team's recommendations as opposed to accepting ad hoc applications. We like it this way around. It means all tutors are known as well as trusted.
Our tutors create achievers. We get to know our students and use common interests to spark a passion. We start generally to distinguish gaps in knowledge and then zoom into those areas in need of focus.
Tutors will build confidence, build a one-of-a-kind rapport and create an exciting professional relationship inspiring students to learn. A-Level Maths, counting to 10, Shakespeare's soliloquies or learning to read: our tutors have got you. You're in safe hands.
