11+

Year 3, 4 and 5

Achiever began in Deal, Kent, with the 11+ course at its heart. Those early sessions laid the foundations of our company, and as we’ve grown, we have remained committed to keeping those roots strong. The 11+ course continues to be a cornerstone of what we do, and our approach has been carefully refined to ensure every Achiever receives expert guidance, encouragement, and structure throughout their journey with us.

A key part of our approach is building strong core foundations in Maths and English first. By refining these essential skills early on, we ensure students are equipped with the numerical fluency, comprehension, and problem-solving ability needed before moving onto the reasoning components. This allows Achievers to tackle the unfamiliar Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning with greater confidence and understanding, rather than viewing them as isolated skills.

While our sessions follow the official CGP guides to ensure full coverage, our tutors take a perfectly tailored approach, adapting delivery to suit each student’s strengths and areas for development. Many providers focus on teaching students to work around the exam, however our aim is to help Achievers truly thrive by building confidence, teaching exam technique, and developing independent thinking skills that extend beyond the test itself. Our sessions will incorporate creative starters, interactive activities, and many Achiever-made resources, including themed schemes of work designed to keep learning engaging and effective.

Our 11+ course includes:
• Mock examinations organised towards the end of the course, marked with detailed feedback
• The Achiever 11+ Tour: a small-group, interactive overview of all four components, focusing on exam technique with a chance for Q&A
• Weekly sessions with personalised session reports
• Out-of-hours messaging for ongoing support
• Guidance with appeals where needed

All families receive a complimentary Home Learning Pack to support progress outside of sessions. This includes:
• An interactive course timeline showing where your Achiever is within the programme
• A Learning Passport for students to track and celebrate their own progress
• Structured resources to make home learning manageable

We also recognise that, while all exams fall under the 11+ umbrella, requirements can differ from school to school. Our tutors adapt preparation accordingly, ensuring students are familiar with the specific formats, expectations, and nuances relevant to their target schools.

We also get fantastic results where in 2023, and in 2025, we got an all but one student pass rate, typically creating a 96% grammar school success rate.

We are proud of our strong pass rates, but even prouder of the confident, resilient learners our Achievers become along the way. It is never too late to start!

Maths

KS1, KS2, KS3, GCSE, A-LEVEL

With Maths it's all about the approach and relationship with the subject. So many students arrive at our informal meetings disheartened and frustrated with the subject and just a month on, love it and have began to understand it.

"Will is absolutely loving his sessions with Afif! He is literally bouncing with happiness when he finishes! He said Afif is an amazing tutor. Seeing Will happy at making progress makes me so happy too!"

This testimonial encapsulates what our approach to Maths is all about: strong rapport, love for the subject and academic confidence.

We have an excellent record of A-LEVEL Maths consultancy sessions too. Wherever the student is with Maths, we have the tutor for you!

We have recently celebrated a student achieving a Grade 9 in their Maths GCSE.

English

KS1, KS2, KS3, GCSE, A-LEVEL

Whether it's phonics and learning to read or analysing Shakespeare's soliloquies, our excellent English tutors understand what's needed to enable the student to succeed. As the subject that's in most demand at Achiever, we have lots of incredible success stories.

Tutors align teaching to the student's specific exam board requirements and set texts and focus on the student's understanding of the marking criteria alongside building skills.

One of our team worked with a student who finished with a grade 7 (the old A) after being predicted a 5 (a high C) last year!

"I want to say a massive thank you for all your support and tutoring. There's no way my son would have got a 7 (A!) in English Literature without you!"

Science

KS2, KS3, GCSE, BTEC, A - LEVEL

The Sciences are a popular choice at Achiever. Our Science tutors are incredible and, often, double up sessions with Maths as well to bring the best out in both subject areas.

Whether it be aiming for a GCSE pass in a Foundation Science paper or Physics at A - LEVEL, our team have got you! You're in safe hands.

One of our students works with one of our team weekly and has 45 minutes of Maths followed by 45 minutes of Science and has come on leaps and bounds and absolutely loves their tutor.

Another student has A -LEVEL consultancy sessions in both Chemistry and Physics due to their predicted grades at school underestimating their ability. Sessions with our expert tutors quickly proved they're capable of far higher.
